This is my attempt at Collage. I did this image as a part of a Advanced Graphic Design Course I am taking. I have done this type of artwork in the past however it seems to be trending these days and I thought I would give it another try.  I accomplished this effect with the use of a mask that makes the edges look torn and I did have some difficulty with the middle image as I needed to reverse and flip it on a new layer in order to complete the mask effect on both the top and the bottom of the image.
I used the black and white on a color background in order to create the contrast in the image and I also added a drop shadow to give the illusion the it was pasted to the wall.

Movement
Here is a recent work I did and posted here on Oct.25 2019.
For this work I chose a vector image of colored flower art and wanted to show movement. I like to work with vector images sometimes as they can be resized and worked with without losing their crisp edges. Scaling of vectors has little effect on them.
I chose a background and its color based on the colors in the flower art. As I wanted movement and dimension in the work I chose a color a shade darker then the darkest leaf on the flower.
For the effect I made copies of the original and scaled up the sizes for each position of the flower going from small to biggest.
I also added a very minute twist (Rotation)to each one.
To add more movement I added a motion blur filter to the work making sure to keep the same path of motion for each layer.
I then hid the background, added and adjusted a prospective by using the prospective tool. I adjusted the prospective to go from distant in the back part of the image and closer in the front part of the image to create the illusion that it was moving toward the viewer.
I then added back the background to the image.
For this work I used Adobe Photoshop.
